Kitchen murals featuring food, drink and flowers. Plus a laundry room whimsy.
One of the things I like about murals is being able to paint in different styles. As each home is different and everyone has their own personality, part of the fun is finding a way of expressing that.
Some people like whimsical solutions, like a frieze around the soffit in a Spanish style bungalow. Others want something more grand, like the panels for an arch between a great room and the kitchen in a reproduction Tuscany farmhouse
For some of these I set up photographs to work from in order to get the elements I wanted in just the right configuration. This was the solution I used for the laundry mural and a couple of the arch panels.
