Corporate Logo and Lettering for the Kansas City Royals

The Kansas City Royals wanted to spruce up their spring training facility in Surprise, Arizona. Thay asked for their shield logo to be painted in the major league coaches' locker room and also required the name Joakim Solia added to an existing list of all-stars in the existing lettering style. To add interest to their Foyer, I suggested they paint the main wall in the team blue and add a logo. This gives the area a focal point as you approach it from both side corridors and immediately draws your eye when you enter through the main doors.

A shield logo was also added to the exterior to identify their building from the street, the West practice fields and the Minor League Ball Park.

The interior logo and shield were copied from the team's website, enlarged by hand to 102" wide and 28" wide respectively, traced in position and painted by hand.

The exterior shield logo was enlarged from their manual to 104" wide. The enlargement was cut out and used as a stencil to trace the outlines which were then painted in by hand.
