This carved panel trompe l'oeil was the result of a discussion I had while I was painting this bedroom with a one color faux finish. The client mentioned that she had spent several months looking for something to hang in the alcove behind their bed but had been unable to find anything she liked which fitted their color scheme. I suggested painting a 3-dimensional design instead. They liked the idea and asked me to make suggestions. I developed this design based on their pillows and bed linen fabric. |
